This is gonna be the worst breakfast…EVER!!! @ Cafe Galiano in Westfield Southland Shopping Centre, Cheltenham. I ordered 2 free-ranged eggs on multi-grain bread, with bacon. It took them nearly 30mins to cook the dish while there was  nobody else waiting, and when I raised the question, all I heard was:” I will go have a look.” They didn’t even have the courtesy to apologize. Luckily bub is too small to see how bad table service and food can be!

This is definitely not the place to order a warm meal since I assume their stove is way out of date and takes too much time to heat it up, and staff don’t even care. So a piece of advice, maybe just order takeaway coffee and get out of Cafe Galiano asap 😉

  1. Wish we had seen your review before trying to eat here. We ordered a large Latte, a Hot Chocolate and a Toasted Ham, Cheese and Tomato Sandwich. It took 15mins + to get the coffee and chocolate. Its a self ordering system even though the staff seem to have heaps of time to stand around and chat. The table was sticky, the salt and pepper icky. When we finally got the sandwich the bread was hard and dry and the filling cold, the cheese hadn’t even started to melt. We walked away – my husband was most pissed off.

  2. And don’t even bother ordering the coffee – its bitter because the beans have been burnt or are stale – yuk.

  3. I am puzzled by the reviews. I go there quite often – specifically for the coffee – and have bought bags of beans there to use at home. They are fastidious about cleaning the tables – (even more so with the coronavirus – disinfecting them after every customer).

Yes – like many (most ?) cafes nowadays – it is “order at the counter”. I don’t know why that is an issue.

The food is delicious and the service is good – on the rare occasion when it has been busy, staff have apologized for delays.
