When was the last time you waited 45 mins for your breakfast? Answer to my question is NEVER until NOW!
Charlie Lovett | Service!?
Me and hubby went to Charlie Lovett in South Wharf because of its rustique look and casual vibe. It was a sunny Saturday morning in the city and we were expecting a nice chill-out weekend breakfast. What surprised us at first was that it didn’t do table service and all its staff were running around like busy bees.
Okay, it looks busy, so probably it does have nice food. Inside is like a big warehouse, with its high ceiling and funky tables, we thought we found a special place. Also, a good thing is that we can easily find a place to fit in the pram. Hubby ordered the food, and we started talking about how we are gonna finish our things on the list in the next 2 hours so I can feed the baby on time.
30 minutes later, hubby’s sandwich was here, and my baked egg was still “2 minutes” away. Hubby was quite upset already, let alone our meals didn’t arrive at the same time. After reminding the staff, I got my baked egg after another 10 minutes.
Charlie Lovett | The Food
I have to say, the food doesn’t taste that bad but without a good mood, it doesn’t leave me with such a positive memory. If you’re looking for a place to sit without being noticed and not in a rush to go anywhere, Charlie Lovett would be, sarcastically saying, a “great” choice. But otherwise… please try to avoid it if possible.
