Eclair, I can’t believe after being such a big fan of this petite cafe for such a long time and still haven’t said a word about it. Maybe it was a bit selfishness of mine, that if I share this place with everyone, I might have difficulty to find a table for myself and bub. Even though this is already actually the case some time…
Anyway, what more I can say about Eclair besides putting it on the map like many others and highly recommending it. Eclair, just like its straightforward name, it makes gorgeous eclairs and a variety of French pastry. The first time we went there, I was still pregnant.
Eclair Bakery | The Food
Without having too many choices because of my gestational diabetes, I couldn’t feel more wrong for picking this place for breakfast. However, the staff there were quite accommodating regarding my sensitive blood sugar. Instead of getting hot chocolate and a pistachio eclair, I was introduced to their soy chai latte and french toast with syrup aside. Two hours later, my sugar level was normal and my stomach was extremely happy.
Of course, they also have savoury options if you are not a sweet tooth like me, such as their yummy tuna baguette. Nowadays me and bub are regulars at this little place, and I can see why there is such a cozy spot. The owner always has small chats with everyone, old and new staff are friendly and efficient, maybe they speak English with a bit of an accent from their hometown, which actually adds a bit of French flavour to the air.
So pick a day, any day, just go there and have a cuppa, some sweets, enjoy some laugh. But be early as the kitchen closes at 2 pm and the cafe itself around 3:30 pm.
Other places to try out Franks and Little Tommy Tucker.
