When you go to a cafe and feel like back to your own living room with a happy vibe, you know you’ve found your favourite place. Frank’s is that for us!
In this suburban area called Cheltenham, a cozy cafe is always a question mark, it’s close to a massive southland shopping centre, who would really pay attention to a small street?! Wrong! Not everyone was born in this suburb, like many friends of mine I know who live here including me and my smart hubby, we all had our share of living in an area where coffee can be smelled just around every corner. I know we are spoiled, but ask around, there will be no surprise to find out a big group of fans of nice close coffee spots, where they can eat in and walk home, plus enjoy some fresh air.
And here comes Frank’s, a nice little place popped up in the middle of Cheltenham hidden among all the residential houses and a few quiet shops. It’s always packed with guests and laughs since it opened a few months ago.
The first time I went to Frank’s only for a drink just to check it out. Guess Saturday morning around 11 is definitely not the best time to go as it’s super busy. But.. have to say their soy chai is for sure a good start of the day, at least for me. And my picky coffee drink aka smart hubby didn’t nag about their cap, which is a plus. Also, it’s so close to a small friendship square park where our little Zonni can exhaust herself, so it worked out perfectly.
Eating environment, tick!
Frank’s | Food
Back for more food, and I knew I found the right place. Staff were super friendly, and the first thing they provide is some colouring pencils and a kids menu (which is a drawing as well :)), the little one was set! Back to the adult menu, I’m a sweet tooth as you all know, the doughnut is the only thing I set my eyes on. It can be a bit interesting to start the morning with naughty doughnuts, but hey, I’m free from gestational diabetes this time, should be rewarded a little right?
And it’s no disappointment, I love it! It’s rich but there’s nothing can beat freshly made doughnuts plus a plate filled with fruits and a nice touch of soft toasted meringue. Worth of gaining a few grams on my bum. But apparently the savoury is their most popular choice, the avocado mash is quite flavoursome, they spiced it up a bit and I just love the little kick aftertaste.
Before I stop going on and on about Frank’s, one more highlight I have to mention is their chicken salad on the lunch menu. To be honest, I was quite surprised to find myself enjoy something Asian in this modern local cafe. But do try if you get the chance.
Alright, time for me to end my morning writing and start my daily maternity routine, first stop, dry cleaning place then target, haha, laugh all you want, I know I can help.
