It can be hard to find a quiet place to catch-up for lunch in the Melbourne CBD since most of them are packed during the week.
That’s why I was happy to see that the European Italian Franchise Vapiano has spread its wings and opened shop in Melbourne. I went here during the week with a friend to grab some quick lunch.

Vapiano is a nice place for meeting up with friends over a coffee or quick lunch because of the vibe, but also because of its prices. As they offer pizza from $10 for lunch :). My friend and I both went for the Salami Pizza ($12). There is a big catch when ordering from Vapiano as they try to lure you into adding additional toppings, which are pretty overpriced for what you get. For example, you pay an extra $2 for just a tiny bit for some fresh chili on your pizza.

Then again, Vapiano offers you FREE fresh basil which is an awesome extra to add to any freshly cooked Italian lunch/ dinner.

Waiting…
If you go for lunch, be prepared to WAIT, as Vapiano is not the quickest lunch place by. The first time, I went there we had to wait 30min until we got our pizzas. This is pretty long and an average worker would not have this much time to wait for its lunch.

Kids Friendly
Definitely, a kid’s friendly place to bring your young kids and bubs. Pretty sure our 3 years old will love it as it serves up some nice pasta dishes as well 🙂
