I’m hungry and tired after a long X-mas shopping day, don’t wanna look for a decent place for meal, just need something nice and quick, so I can carry on the battle.
Wonderfully I saw this little booth, Bing Boy, on the ground floor of southland shopping centre where they made authentic “Bings”. I stepped forward to roughly read about the story and menu. The friendly staff helped me out among the options and I quickly made the decision- Peking duck with vege bing.
Bing in Chinese means pancake, was made of egg, flour and water. Last time I remember I had it was over a decade ago in Beijing. I went out with friends and came back in the morning, found a typical local bing mobile booth in the small hutong. Loved its fresh made flavor, it was still super hot when you get it. What a perfect treat for the cool morning. Pekingese even have this as real breakfast. Its nice and filling, why not?!
The service at Bing Boy was quite fast, the first bite made my stomach very happy, warm and fresh, not too salty and just right amount of egg layered on the pancake. This does makes miss these old days strolling around in the Peking city and getting lost in the confusing hutong with a Bing in my hand.
