Alright, Friday night and record-breaking home time for my husband– 5:30 pm! It looks like a waste if we don’t make the most of it. “So shall we go out for dinner?” I asked.
It’s all-natural thinking. Today we tried a new place called “Laksa King” in the Westfield Southland shopping center. Well, I hear you say its not quite a romantic place for a couple to have dinner, with a Village Movie Theatre right next to it. It’s more like a spot for people to have a quick bite before cozying up for a motion picture.

However, Laksa King definitely is a family place. There’s enough space for little ones to sit and walking around. Plus, the high ceiling gives you a quite stressless feeling, which doesn’t happen often in a mall.

Flavour? I have to say, it’s not so special and they do charge a lot for a bowl of laksa ($14-18 per bowl), but it tastes fine and has a nice selection of Malaysian treats. The staff of Laksa King is friendly and food comes so quickly. When you see so much fast food around, “Laksa king” does look as a standout and adds a bit of fresh air into the neighbourhood.
So, go ahead and have a try, you won’t be surprised, either disappointed, but, for sure you can add it to the list of choices to stuff your tummy before the start of the night. Enjoy!
